It was because I grew up in that village. The miles of growth I have been on, all started there. As I felt the cold square stones of the old trestle I used to climb to escape a reality I could not change, I sobbed uncontrollably. Then, I could feel the sun on my neck, the sounds of happy people, and I felt lighter, better. Up on that path, above the spring, a scared little boy left so many parts of himself a long time ago.
